TOMO77 (Tony Aguero) Surveillance, 2021 Silkscreen print on 100% cotton rag true white archival paper 18 x 18 inches Artist Proof (AP) Signed and Numbered by Artist Subliminal & Serigraph publishing chop in lower-left corner. "When Surveillance was first released with Subliminal Projects in 2021, it felt like a mirror held up to the quiet hum of control—systems watching, measuring, and predicting without our consent. At that moment, the piece spoke to an unease, a creeping sense of being observed. Looking at it now, against the backdrop of escalating turmoil, disinformation, and ever-tightening digital scrutiny, the work feels less like a warning and more like a lived reality. The armored figures, the ever-present eye, and the red symbols have shifted from metaphor to prophecy, capturing a world where surveillance has moved from shadow into daily life." -TOMO77 (Tony Aguero)
