One of my favorite Avett records is Emotionlism and I began this image by color sampling the art for that record. This might be the first instance of a color palette being the guiding factor in my art. The image itself is a weaving tessellation of Audubon and Escher style birds. I added a twisting psychedelic pattern as an under print to really ramp up the feeling of vertigo. .
