This one was originally used for a Jimmy Eat World print from early 2005. I looked back today and the show was actually on January 14 so the art just hit the decade mark this week. A lot of the themes in it relate to being a teen… I wanted it look like high school felt. There were also these safe sex PSA ads that I saw throughout various kiosks and standees around East Texas at the time showing a couple embracing with a heavy handed tagline accompanying it. In my own head I was offering an alternate to that showing the likely realities of young love. NOTES: 23 x 34 inches /// 4 screens /// signed and numbered edition of 100
