Dave's long time director Matt pointed out that the winner of the Travers Stakes, held at Saratoga Springs, is draped in an extravagant floral blanket made of over a thousand carnations. The edges are dotted with white carnations and they are all meticulously crafted by local artists. This imagery really helped shape the art and guide my hand when making this one. I know some of you like to see my sketches and I've attached an early one here where we considered going with a chess piece theme before settling on the final direction. My artist copies also feature a clear spot varnish over the image which gives the whole thing a very pristine and shiny glass-like feel and look in person. . Please allow roughly 2 weeks for shipping. It's just Kristie and me packing and it sometimes takes us a minute. We always pack them with love for you all. Cheers. .
