This one was presented as a Detroit show by 311's long time art director Mike D so I decided to follow a similar approach to my DMB Chicago poster from last year with a city centric Lions theme. Despite living in Texas most of my life there is something nostalgic about Detroit for me. I can still feel the excitement of opening a Barry Sanders 1989 Score from a card kiosk at Highland Mall in Austin. Or playing as the Redwings in NHLPA Hockey on Genesis in 93. Or trying to be Isiah Thomas in my driveway with that low to the ground crossover. . The four numbers in the corners are tributes to some of the great athletes in Detroit sports history. They are 20 (Barry Sanders), 11 (Isiah Thomas), 9 (Gordie Howe) and 4189 (Ty Cobb lifetime hits). . Please allow roughly 2 weeks for shipping.
