24 x 18 – 6 color silkscreen – S/N edition of 200 - Well this image probably warrants some explaination right? My daughter (5 years old) has been asking Kristie and I about babies and where they come from, and it reminded me when I was that age having the same thoughts. I remember wishing the illustrations in textbooks were more fantastical and imaginative. I decided to create my own conception mythos for this image. This octopus with the female faces and a feline head represents woman and lives inside all creatures big and small. The floating lions represent man, and the center lion is who she has chosen. The ocean waves are the seeds spread by the lions. The next step is making this a regular part of the curriculum in schools worldwide right? At the very least I hope that this will capture my daughter's imagination...
