Stephanie Inagaki's solo exhibition of charcoal works draws on Japanese folklore and mythology to explore life, death, love, loss, and transformation.
Lady Death & Co. presents Stephanie Inagaki's playful and sensual takes on memento mori narratives through ethereal figures and anthropomorphic creatures including foxes, crows, snakes, and black cats. Inspired by the fairytales and folklore of her Japanese heritage, the works examine the cyclical nature of life and death, the masks people wear, and the transformations prompted by love and loss. The exhibition opened Friday, September 5, 2025, with a reception from 7 to 11 PM.
