Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind
A participatory survey spanning more than seven decades of Yoko Ono's art, music, performance, and activism.
Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind traces Yoko Ono's groundbreaking career from early text-based works of the 1950s and 1960s to large-scale installations shaped by her campaigns for world peace. Organized by Tate Modern in collaboration with The Broad, Ono's first solo museum exhibition in Southern California explores her radical approach to art, language, and audience participation. Instruction pieces invite visitors to tie wishes to olive trees, hammer nails into a painting, write notes about their mothers, and transform Add Colour (Refugee Boat) with shared messages.
