The Art of Saving Democracy Brings Art and Action Together

Shepard Fairey has teamed up with People For the American Way for The Art of Saving Democracy: An Action Kit for Making Change, a project that uses art as a tool for civic engagement. The action kit features a handbook for action, postcards, stickers, and conversation starters designed to help people protect democracy and create change in their communities.

The kit is now available for pre-order and will be in bookstores on June 2, timed around America’s founding ideals and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Shepard Fairey will also appear in conversation with Lara Bergthold at The Ebell of Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 10, where they will discuss the project, art, activism, and the power of creative action.
