Holly Guertin works across felted wool, crochet, and embroidery to create serene animal figures and ornamental textile surfaces rooted in nature.

Her lambs nod off or stand quietly before patterned backdrops, while floral vignettes and colorful fiber flourishes look to the ornament already present in feathers, grasses, foliage, and animal markings.

Quiet Ornament
Several works will appear in Guertin's solo exhibition Hand in Hand at Waterworks Visual Arts Center in Salisbury, North Carolina, from July 6 to October 10, 2026.
